Maze understands that sometimes team members will need to take extended leave for medical reasons, to care for a family member, or for personal reasons. We will do everything we can to accommodate leave requests. Eligibility and payment method will be determined by the type of request, the time period requested, and local regulations in your country.
<aside> *️⃣ Definitions: Medical Leave: When you have an injury or an illness that will leave you unable to work for more than 7 calendar days Carer’s Leave: When someone who is in your care has an injury or an illness that will leave you unable to work for more than 3 calendar days Personal Leave: When you need to take more than 14 calendar days off for a personal reason. Ben is Deactivated: When Ben is deactivated while you are on unpaid leave, you will no longer receive monthly allowances until you return to work. Additionally, your leaving and returning month will be pro-rated. Any funds you had prior to your leave will be unavailable for use until you return to work. Job protection: You will be entitled to come back to the same or similar position when you return if all aspects of your leave agreement have been met Job abandonment: If you do not return on your agreed upon return date and have not communicated this with your manager or your manager is not able to contact you for 3 business days, it is considered job abandonment and you contract will be terminated
